The Kanagawa-based architecture studio designed two linear volumes adorned with hide-away windows and separated by an open “spinal alley way”. The main living and resting spaces are sheltered by each of the two volumes separating the public life from the private one.
The harborside lot deepens the connection to the surrounding natural environment and the interior spaces were carefully designed to offer comfort and a modern lifestyle. Studio Bates Masi Architects were the ones behind this beautiful residential project entitled Robins Way Residence.
This modern design renovation was done by Rajiv Saini in order to transform the upper level of a family home which was being made as the living space for the tenant’s newlywed son and his bride. The project is designed as a private space for a young couple equipped with all facilities wrapped up with attractive interior designing.
Located in in Fukushima Japan the contemporary residence was intentionally lifted above ground to offer its dwellers additional entertainment spaces. Outdoor activities are widely encouraged by the space under the house – a large multifunctional area loved by the children as well as the parents.
The most remarkable thing is the house is more eco-friendly than any of the modern houses in that area. The mansion gives a lot of room space and allows a continuous feed of sunlight during daytime.
